Cloud SCADA Platform

Multiple industries rely on Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, to monitor industrial processes, helping maintain efficiency and reduce downtime.

SCADA systems have traditionally allowed for local monitoring, either through HMIs inside an industrial facility, or through private networks that span across the monitored sites. But this is slowly changing. The remote work trend, and the emergence of Industrial IoT gateways, are driving modern web technologies to the shop floor, enabling secure Internet-enabled remote monitoring, and helping industrial operators, maintenance teams, and even the management keep an eye on their processes in real time.

Ubidots SCADA aims to bring you the best of both worlds: the modern and rapidly advancing web technologies for analytics, visualization, user interfaces, and data storage, with the traditional SCADA designs industrial users are already accustomed to

  1. Timeline Chart

This tool aggregates and displays breakdown times in production by effectively grouping time series data. By analyzing when breakdowns occur, you can identify crucial patterns and trends for improving operational efficiency and minimizing downtime. Understanding the timing and frequency of breakdowns helps pinpoint underlying issues, schedule maintenance more effectively, and enhance overall productivity.

  2. Pareto

This Pareto chart combines bars and a cumulative line to prioritize issues based on frequency or impact. It helps identify the most significant factors, aligning with the 80/20 rule—where 80% of outcomes come from 20% of causes. Using a Pareto chart plugin simplifies data analysis, allowing you to quickly focus on key improvements.

  3. Breakdown Bars

The bar chart offers a simple yet powerful way to break down data and gain insights quickly, providing a clear and intuitive representation of complex datasets.

    Machine Learning

In today's data-driven world, the ability to monitor and analyze time series data is paramount for businesses and organizations across various domains. However, amidst the vast and continuous stream of data, identifying anomalies—those unexpected deviations from the norm—can be an arduous task, often akin to finding needles in a haystack.

Ubidots has recognized the critical need for automated anomaly detection to empower its users to quickly spot irregularities in their time series data. This article delves into a solution offered by Ubidots: the Anomaly Detection Plugin

Application Builder

This feature offers a power option for customers looking to deploy fully customized end-user applications and will be able to change all the menu items in the end-user apps as well. Additionally, different versions of the menu can be created and displayed only to the right users based on their assigned tags.

Furthermore, it allows you to change the position of the navigation menu to either the top of the screen (its default position) or to the left side — thus turning it into a collapsible navigation bar.

This new version of the menu frees up screen space and offers more flexibility for your overall experience. The changes of position can be made separately for the app's end users on one hand, and the admin users and account owner on the other.
