Monitoring triggered events is essential to maintain operational efficiency. Ubidots' Incidents widget allows you to keep a detailed record of each incident, including trigger time, triggering value, and resolution status.

Requirements
An Ubidots account (Industrial plan or above).
1. Create an Incidents Widget
Head to the "data" dropdown menu in the navigation bar, then "dashboards", and select a dashboard to work on. Next, follow the steps below to create an Incidents widget:
Step 1: Click on the “+” button at the upper right corner of your dashboard.
Step 2: Select the Incidents widget.
In the “settings” tab of the widget:
Step 3: Choose the events to be displayed in the widget. Here you have five options:
All events: List of all triggered events in your account.
Set by dashboard: List of the events triggered by device(s) selected in the dashboard (this option is only available in dynamic dashboards).
Device group: Only the events related to the selected device group are displayed.
Device type: Only the events related to the selected device type are displayed.
Selected events: Only the selected events are displayed.
Step 4: If needed, change the appearance of the widget and click on the “save” button once finished.
2. Incidents Widget Overview
The widget will display the following information:
Status: There are three status an incident can have:
Open (red): The incident has been generated (an event was triggered), it hasn’t been resolved, and there are no comments.
Acknowledged (yellow): A comment has been added, but the incident is not resolved yet.
Resolved (green): The variable that triggered the event is back to a normal value.
The incidents widget has the following columns:
Device: The device that is associated with the event.
Message: The name assigned to the event when it was created.
Trigger: The icon and value of the variable that triggered the event.
Triggered: The date when the event was triggered.
Resolved: The date when the event went back to a normal state. If it hasn’t been resolved yet, a hyphen (-) will be displayed instead.
Comments: Comments made on the incident.
Comment button: Can be used to leave comments on the incident according to your needs.
