Geofencing is a software feature that, through GPS, defines geographical boundaries. When a device enters or exits a determined area, an alert (or event) can be triggered using Ubidots.
To create a new event, click the yellow plus icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
Then choose a device and associating variable that indicates the devices' "position".
Click here for additional information to sending your device's location to Ubidots.
Next, choose "Location" from the dropdown and determine when to trigger an event if upon entry or exit.
Finally, draw the geofence on the map to boundary settings:
Lastly, determine the type of event you wish to trigger. In this example, we will show an SMS.
