Which menu do you have? If your navigation is a sidebar on the left of the screen, follow Sidebar menu. If your account options are in the top bar, follow Top bar menu.
1. Sidebar menu
Sign in to your Ubidots account.
In the bottom-left corner of the sidebar, click your avatar.
Click API Credentials.
2. Top bar menu
Sign in to your Ubidots account.
Click the account drop-down in the top-right corner.
Click API Credentials, or go to My Profile and click API Credentials in the left panel.
3. API key vs. tokens
The API Credentials section shows two types of keys:
API key: your master key. It’s unique and can’t be changed, and it’s only used to generate tokens.
Tokens: temporary, revocable keys that you use in API requests.
API requests accept only tokens. The API key won’t work in API calls. |
