Every request to Ubidots requires a token. In this article you'll learn how to find yours.
1. Finding your token
Sign in to your Ubidots account.
Click on the account drop-down button and click on "API credentials":
Once the credentials section appears, you'll see these two types of credentials:
API key: This is your “master key”, a unique and immutable key that is used only to generate your account's tokens.
Tokens: Temporary and revocable keys to be used in your API requests.
IMPORTANT NOTE: API calls only accept your TOKEN. Don’t try to use your API key, it won’t work!
You can also access your Ubidots credentials in your account's settings.
Click on the account drop-down button and head over to "my profile".
On the left-hand panel, click on "API credentials".
