Ubidots is committed to providing an easy-to-use, fair, and supportive IoT Application Enablement Platform for users to Develop and Deploy data-driven applications for personal and business use. As part of our growth, and in support of EU data protection laws, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy were updated on May 21, 2018.

Note, while General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU regulation, it ultimately affects any business with customers in the EU which is why we are applying these changes globally across all Ubidots powered Applications, regardless of where they may be.

And, in accordance with GDPR legislations, and Ubidots Terms of Service, all users have a right to export their data in its entirety and this data may be retrieved from the "My Profile" section in the user's drop-down menu.

From the user drop-down in the top-right corner of an Admin account, select "My Profile":

Scroll down to find "Data Export“

In accordance with GDPR and Ubidots expectations for service, any data export requests will be handled in the order they are received. All requests will be met with email replies from Ubidots, and should be expected between 1 and 30 days following the request.

What data is exported?

According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the right to data portability, outlined in Article 20 of the GDPR, refers to personal data concerning users. In our case, this means we won't export device data by default. If you consider that your devices data contain a reference to personal data, then please delete them first before requesting an export. If you need to export such data in order to port it to another application, you may do so with our device export feature.
