Working with exact data often requires to have numbers with more than 2 decimal places. If this your case, you can easily change the number of decimal places being displayed across your application or only in specific widgets.

Decimal places can be changed at an account, widget, or app level. The priority of these configurations goes from the "lowest" to the "highest" level, like this:

  • The widget configuration has priority over the account's.

  • The app configuration will only work at the end user level if no other configuration has been established in the account and/or widgets of the end user.

Learn how to change the number of decimal places at an account, widget, and app level.

1. Change account's decimal places

  1. Click on your profile picture and go to "my profile" from the drop-down menu.

  2. Scroll down to the "preferences" section and increase/decrease the number of decimal places of your account.

  3. Click on the "save" button.

2. Change widget's decimal places

  1. Go to the dashboard that contains the widget to be edited.

  2. Click on the pencil icon of the widget to access its settings.

  3. Go to the "appearance" tab and increase/decrease the decimal places.

  4. Click on the "save" button.

3. Change app's decimal places

Changing decimal places this way will have an effect on your end user's accounts.

  1. On the main navigation bar click on "apps".

  2. Click on the pencil icon of the app you want to edit.

  3. Scroll down to the "locale" section and increase/decrease the number of decimal places of your app.

  4. Click on the "save locale" button.
